Car Rentals

Colombia has been ranked as one of the world’s worst places to drive. The drivers, in general, are aggressive, impatient, and sometimes not very polite. I personally do not think they intentionally mean harm, it’s just their culture. The motorcycles zig-zag in and out of traffic. The buses know they are bigger than you, and they will pull out in front of you or stop in front of you, blocking the road. The taxi drivers are also known for stopping in the middle of the road as well. You must be alert and patient if you intend to drive here.

We offer automatic (more expensive-limited) and manual transmission options. You can pick up from the airport or a location in the city. Some rentals can be picked up from the airport and dropped in the city and vice versa.
Valid Driver’s License

Many of our rentals include full coverage with zero deductible, offering you the best protection. Most car rental companies require you to purchase minimum insurance. Remember, it is a foreign country and it is better to be safe than sorry. Book with us for peace of mind. Your credit card and regular auto insurance will not be accepted as proof of insurance as most do not cover you outside the USA.
Colombia enacted an ordinance to help regulate traffic during rush hours.  All rental car companies must abide by this law and arrangements must be made upon picking up the rental vehicle with the station personnel. Customers must comply with the PICO y PLACA regulations in the cities that have enacted this ordinance. Please confirm with the rental agent which cities comply with the PICO y PLACA laws before leaving the rental location. There are many new camera towers that take photos of these violations that can end up costing you $250 USD per occurrence.
